Why choose linen bedding?
- Naturally temperature-regulating. Linen is breathable and moisture-wicking. It helps you stay cool on warm nights and comfortable when temperatures drop, which makes it popular with hot sleepers and anyone who struggles with night sweats or hot flushes.
- A bedding for every season. You won’t need to swap your sheets in autumn. Linen works all year round.
- Strong and long-lasting. Linen fibres are stronger than cotton, so your bedding wears in rather than wearing out.
- Effortlessly relaxed. Linen’s soft creases give your bed a lived-in, just-made look with no ironing needed.
What linen bedding sets are available?
Build your bed piece by piece, or save with a linen bedding set. Our sets include a duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcases.
- Duvet covers have elegant tie closures.
- Pillowcases come in housewife or Oxford styles, including square and super king sizes.
- Fitted sheets come in a standard 30cm or deep 40cm depth. Not sure which you need? Read our fitted sheet depth guide.
- Flat sheets and valances complete the look.
How to choose between linen or cotton bedding?
Linen has a heavier drape, a textured feel and a relaxed, creased finish. Cotton is smoother and crisper. If you sleep hot or want bedding for every season, linen is hard to beat. Is linen a good choice for bedding?
Yes. Linen is one of the most breathable natural fabrics, so it helps regulate your temperature through the night. It’s also very durable and softens with every wash. It suits people who want long-lasting bedding with a relaxed, textured look.
Is linen bedding good for hot sleepers?
Linen is a great choice if you overheat at night. The fibres let air circulate and draw moisture away from your skin, so you stay cooler and drier than in many cotton weaves. That makes it ideal for UK summers and for anyone experiencing night sweats or hot flushes.
Can you use linen bedding in winter?
Absolutely. Linen regulates temperature rather than simply cooling you. It holds warmth when it’s cold without feeling heavy, so you can use the same linen bedding all year round.
Is your linen bedding 100% linen?
Our linen bedding is 100% linen, woven from flax grown in Normandy. We also offer pinstripe bedding in a linen and cotton blend, clearly labelled in its product name.
Does linen bedding shrink?
Our linen bedding is pre-washed and pre-shrunk to minimise shrinkage. Follow the care label and avoid very high tumble-dryer heat to keep it at its best.
Does linen bedding need ironing?
No. Linen’s natural creases are part of its charm. If you prefer a smoother finish, iron it while it’s slightly damp, but the relaxed look will return once you sleep on it.
Is linen bedding worth the money?
Linen costs more up front than most cotton, but it lasts longer and improves with age, so the cost per night is low. Our cost per sleep pricing shows the real value of bedding built to last.
