1Pull back the coversKeep things healthy by pulling back your throw, together with your duvet or sheet, to air your bed whilst you're getting ready for the day. This helps excess moisture to evaporate so your bed stays fresher and cleaner.

2Wash regularlyKeep things clean and fresh by washing your throw. Use it on top of a duvet or flat sheet and you should find that a wash once or twice a year is enough. You can machine-wash this throw on a cold wool-friendly cycle. It's also suitable for handwashing. This throw is not suitable for dry cleaning.

3Hang to dryDo your bit for our planet and dry your throw by hanging it out. It will dry best on an outside washing line away from direct sunlight. You can gently reshape this throw when it's slightly damp. This throw is not suitable for tumble-drying.

4No iron neededKeep your iron in its cupboard; this throw is not suitable for ironing.

5Check your detergentAlways use the best detergent for the product you are washing. We'd recommend you use a detergent designed specifically for woollens.

6Extra carefulNever use biological detergent, bleaches, stain removers or optical brighteners as they will damage the wool. It's not just detergents that can affect your throw; some creams, suncreams and facewashes contain chemicals that will bleach your bedding, such as benzoyl peroxide. Make up and bronzers can also stain your throw; having a shower before bed to remove skin products will help your throw stay looking good for longer.
