Would you believe that Egyptian Cotton cultivation began in an ornamental garden? It's true! A chap called Jumel spotted the beautiful cotton plants in a Cairo garden, and after looking at it a little more closely, realised that thanks to its long fibres it could be woven into a strong and fine cloth. Before long he began cultivating it along the banks of the Nile. Egypt (and our bedtimes) have never looked back. -

These towels are made from a terry woven to 700GSM for a towel that feels super fluffy and substantial - what a treat! We've used a long twisted loop pile that makes these towels incredibly absorbent and durable. -

If you're using it as a hand towel in a busy household then wash it after one or two days' use. Wash at 30°C for best results - modern detergents mean there's no need to go for a higher temperature. It's also kinder to the environment.

2Nice & dryYou can line dry or tumble dry this towel. If you choose to tumble dry then remove it from the dryer before it's completely dry to avoid a dried-out crispy feel. Line drying your towel is a greener option, just give it a good shake out before you put it away to fluff up those lovely cotton fibres.
