When you're on the look-out for a new mattress, it pays to be picky. After all, you'll be spending every night together. This British-made mattress ticks a lot of boxes. Because it's made with a combination of pocket springs and memory foam, it instantly responds to your body's shape and position for a peaceful and well-supported night's sleep.
Features and Facts
This mattress features 1000 pocket springs. Pocket sprung systems are built exactly as they sound; the individual springs are encased in a fabric envelope which allows each spring to respond to your body independently. This means a more peaceful night's sleep for you and your bedfellow because your movements will not disturb one another.
This mattress has a lovely deep 45mm layer of memory foam for responsive and supportive comfort. Memory foam is a heat-activated material that softens according to the weight and warmth of your body to provide exactly the right levels of support where you need it most. It returns to its original state when you remove the pressure, for all night, adaptive comfort.
There's no need to turn this mattress, just rotate it regularly to keep it in good shape. The stitched handles help you position your mattress with ease. For further information, see our care guide below.

Read our care guide to get the best from your mattress and to ensure your guarantee remains valid through its lifetime.
Your mattress will feel different according to the base it's placed on. Any bed base will work, so long as it is well-ventilated - your mattress needs to breathe for it to stay in good condition. Always choose the right size mattress for your bed base. Too small, and it will look strange, too large and you'll damage the mattress. Sagging or broken bed bases will damage your new mattress, we recommend buying a new bed base (with the slats being no more than 7cm apart) at the same time as your mattress.
You may notice a slight odour when removing your mattress from it's packaging; this is normal and will go away after couple of days. Your mattress may have compressed slightly during the delivery process; leave your mattress to air and it will soon bounce back.
Your mattress will adapt to the weight and contours of your body; rotating your mattress from foot to end will keep the filling even and extend the life of your mattress. Rotating a mattress is a two-person job, so get some help.
After a few weeks of use, you might notice that the sleeping areas are wearing more quickly than the rest of the mattress. Don't panic! Mattresses with very soft, natural layers do naturally compress slightly and it's a sign of a high quality fill. You can minimise this settlement by regularly rotating your mattress and using a mattress topper.
Keep things healthy by airing your bed each day. Half an hour or so while you're showering and getting dressed should do the trick. This helps excess moisture to evaporate so your bed stays fresher and cleaner. Once a week you should air your bed for a few hours by turning back all bedding from the mattress to allow any moisture to evaporate.
