What is a deep fitted bedsheet?
A deep fitted bedsheet (also known as a deep pocket sheet) is a fitted bedsheet that can accommodate a deeper mattress. Some mattresses have built-in padding, known as a pillow top. This extra layer may mean that a regular depth fitted sheet won’t fit the mattress properly because the ‘drop’ which encases the side of the mattress isn’t deep enough. This is also the case if you use a mattress topper on top of your mattress.
How deep is a deep fitted sheet?
A deep fitted sheet is the same length and width as a regular fitted sheet but has a deeper drop to accommodate a deep mattress or if you are using a topper with a mattress.
