Customer Reviews
Why is it called a housewife pillowcase?
Ever wondered why the housewife pillowcase is so-called? It’s to do with the Housewives Co-operative in Bolton. They invented the flap inside the pillowcase to stop the pillow from falling out, which in turn avoided the need for more fiddly fastenings.
What material is best for pillow cases?
The best material for a pillow case is one that’s breathable, smooth and easy to care for. This will give you a comfortable night’s sleep and be easy to keep clean. Choose from a range of housewife pillowcases in a variety of fabrics and designs, from indulgent Mulberry Silk to luxurious Egyptian Cotton.
