Feather and down aficionados will love the snug yet breathable warmth of our eco-friendly recycled feather and down duvet. We’ve carefully picked, washed and dried pre-used feather and down so it’s revived and ready for you to snuggle up with on your way to the land of nod.
Features and Facts
Filled with recycled feather and down, this duvet is a dream to snuggle up under. Because the fill has gone through such a rigorous sorting process, (it's treated in the same facilities as our Hungarian feather and down), it feels blissfully close to one filled with virgin feather and down - the feather-rich fill is cosy with the softness of 15% down for extra comfort.
Sleep Your Greens
Using recycled feather and down in this duvet has us all of a flutter. That's because it ticks pretty much every environmental box there is. It reduces the amount of material heading into landfill, uses a fraction of the resources needed to rear birds for virgin feather and down and uses less water and energy to process the feather and down itself. And even better? You'd never even guess it was a greener choice; this duvet performs without compromise.
The recycled fill is thoroughly cleaned with natural thermal spring water before being sterilised at a temperature of 135°C without the use of chemicals. The result? Feather & down that's soft, lofty and exceptionally clean.
This duvet has been tested to make sure it's up to our high standards. It's made and tested to EN standards and is filled with GRS-certified recycled feather and down.
This substantial feather and down duvet feels very cosy. It's pleasingly weighty thanks to the blend of small, soft feathers we use.
The soft and smooth 233 thread count cotton casing is breathable and will wick away moisture as you sleep for a fresher start to your day.
Made to Last
We've made these duvets carefully to make sure that lovely feather & down stays in place. The 9 tog duvet is baffle-walled & double-stitched and the 4.5 tog duvets has stitched through cassettes. Both methods result in a smooth and even finish across your bed.
Not all duvets are created the same therefore, based in their inner and outer characteristics, they need to be cared for differently. Care properly for your duvet and it will recharge you for many years to come. Here is what you need to do in order to make the most out your ReDown duvet:
Keep things healthy by pulling back your duvet to air your bed whilst you're getting ready for the day. This helps excess moisture to evaporate so your bed stays fresher and cleaner and is especially important with feather and down fills as moisture can make their natural odor more pronounced.
Every 6-12 months will do the trick - why not clean your duvet with the change of season - then it's ready for when you next need it. Store your duvet somewhere dry and away from dust. The bag your duvet came in is perfect for the job, or you could use one of our specially-made storage bags instead.
Protect your duvet and tumble-dry until completely dry. Even the smallest amount of moisture can damage the fill and cause those precious down clusters to clump and can also make the natural odour of feather and down more pronounced. A damaged fill = a ruined duvet.
