Specialist techniques

Waffle weaves are created by using varying lengths of yarn when weaving. When the fabric is removed from the loom, the shorter lengths of yarn that were stretched during the weaving process contract, creating the waffle texture we love so much. Waffle weaves are surprisingly cosy because of the way the textured weave traps air making them warmer than a regular flat-woven throw.
