We've made this waffle bathrobe with pure cotton for breathability and absorbency. It is also surprisingly quick drying.

Specialist techniques

Waffle weaves are created by using varying lengths of yarn when weaving. When the fabric is removed from the loom, the shorter lengths of yarn that were stretched during the weaving process contract and this creates the waffle texture we love so much.

Easy care

This waffle bathrobe is very easy to wash and dry, meaning a super-fast turnaround on laundry day. Just machine wash and hang to dry to keep it at its best.

Keep it clean

You can machine wash this robe at 40°C, but we'd recommend you wash it at 30°C for best results - modern detergents mean there's no need to go for a higher temperature. It's also kinder to the environment.

Nice & dry

Although you can line dry or tumble dry this robe, we'd recommend you hang it out on an airer or washing line where it will dry in next to no time. It's a greener way to dry your robe too. If you choose to tumble dry, then remove it from the dryer before it's completely dry to avoid that dried-out crispy feel.

Iron if you like

Ironing can diminish the appearance of the waffle weave that makes this robe so appealing. Give it a good shake and dry on a coat hanger to minimise wrinkles. If you prefer to iron your robe, use a low heat setting.

Check your detergent

Never use biological detergent, bleaches, stain removers or optical brighteners as they will damage the fabric and colour over time. It's not just detergents that can affect your robe; some creams and facewashes contain chemicals that will bleach the fabric, such as benzoyl peroxide. Suncream, bronzers and self-tan lotions can also stain your robe; having a shower to remove skin products will help your bathrobe stay looking good for longer.

Avoid detergents and stain removers containing optical brighteners

They create an optical illusion that changes the appearance of the colour. It's not just detergents that can affect your robe; some creams, facewashes and even toothpastes contain chemicals that will bleach your robe if they come in contact with the fabric, such as benzoyl peroxide. Suncream and bronzers can also stain your robe; we'd suggest you use a darker coloured robe after using fake tan.
