Filled with 100% genuine Eiderdown, one of the world's rarest natural materials. 3/4s of the world's Eiderdown is collected from Iceland. The mother Eider ducks pluck the soft down from their breast to insulate their eggs as they incubate. Once the chicks have fledged and nest is no longer needed, the Eiderdown is hand-collected before being hand-cleaned and used as Eiderdown fill.

An ancient art

Eiderdown is prized for its delicate clusters of down that flex and lock together. It's the way the down clusters lock together like Velcro that traps warm air so effectively. Eiderdown collection is an ancient craft; remnants of Eiderdown have been found in burial sites from the time of the Vikings.
