White French Linen Bed Valance

Pure French Linen
This bed valance is made with pure French Linen, woven from flax grown in Normandy. Linen has a hollowfibre structure which creates an incredibly soft, textured fabric that just gets better with age.

A textural treat
This bed linen is made with yarns that are ring-spun to make the fabric stronger yet wonderfully soft. The result is a beautifully textured valance that you'll be able to enjoy for years to come. We've also pre-washed and pre-shrunk this valance to minimise the risk of shrinkage.

Care for quality
This valance has gone through some serious testing with a special focus on colour fastness, durability and washability.

Simple solution
This valance is designed with box pleat corners (10cm deep) for a neat, uniform look. The pleat allows easy lifting to get into divan drawers and under-bed storage.

Luxuriously soft
Linen has a beautifully rich drape and feels indulgently textured and soft, adding to its effortless appeal.

Relaxed charm
Linen's rumpled charm is effortlessly appealing. The plain weave fabric is speckled with naturally occurring slubs in the fabric showing the beauty of this natural fibre; it's just the thing for a chilled-out bedroom.

Wash regularly - Keep your bed clean and fresh by changing and washing your valance regularly. Once every 1-2 months, to remove surface dust. You can wash this bedding at 40°C, although we'd recommend you wash it at 30°C for a greener way to stay clean. We recommend washing this valance before use to reduce any natural linting.

Hang to dry - Do your bit for our planet and dry your valance by hanging it to dry out of direct sunlight. It will dry best on an outside washing line. If time or space is tight, it can also be tumble-dried. You'll have fewer creases to deal with if you remove your valance from the dryer while slightly damp and then hang it to air dry.

Iron if you like - You can iron this valance while it's slightly damp for a pristine finish on the box pleats, or line dry for a casually rumpled look. We do not recommend vacuuming this valance.

Check your detergent - Always use the best detergent for the product you are washing. If you're washing white bed linen we'd recommend powdered detergents. If you're washing coloured bed linen, we'd recommend you use a washing gel/liquid or a detergent suitable for coloured fabrics.

Avoid detergents and stain removers containing optical brighteners - they create an optical illusion that changes the appearance of the colour. It's not just detergents that can affect your bedding; some creams and facewashes contain chemicals that will bleach your bedding, such as benzoyl peroxide. Suncream and bronzers can also stain your bed sheets; having a shower before bed to remove skin products will help your bedding stay looking good for longer.
